KINTREX IRT0401 Compact Waterproof (IP67) Infrared Thermometer Reviews
The good:br / with shipping.br /Accuracy not bad approximately ±5°F. br /Small and light.br /Water proof IP67 (look it up on the Web; 6 is dust proof and 7 is water proof to 1M).br /Push button to measure, taking finger off of button is hold.br /Auto shutoff.br /Maxell Watch Battery Button Cell LR44 AG13 A76 Pack of 10 Batteries@.70 or 10Ct. 357 LR44 AG13 SR44W Alkaline Batteries@.39, readily available and cheap so long as you don't buy from a watch store.br /br /The bad:br /Small size and black color make it very easy to loose.br /No laser designator so you need to be fairly close to make sure that you are checking what you think that you are.br /Acceptance angle not specified.br /Accuracy good for the money but not adequate for quite a few applications.br /Display can be hard to read as it is not back light.br /br /The Ugly:br /Accuracy varies with the temperature range. Not horrid but could be a surprise if you are counting on the accuracy to be exactly as expected.br /br /Overall a great buy and for lots of applications all that is needed.

My only complaint is that the product is shipped with weak batteries. The batteries are easy to replace. The LED meter reads out in C and F. The low battery indicator is tiny and it took me a week to realize it was there.

The primary use this instrument was purchased for was measuring food prepared on a gas grill and it maybe a might small for that purpose.
